STORY OF AN ADDICT

Written in 2008……
This is the story of an unhappy man
He wiggles his tail at anything moving
He snorts, injects, drinks and smokes
And cuddles the bitter sex all night
His life’s devoid of any meaning
His only treasure is his fantasies
But they just came to a crashing halt
There’s no need for metaphors
Lucy is long dead and buried
I am nobody, just another addict
Just another sad angry lonely soul
Whose life has no real meaning
Other than falling into oblivion
This is the story of the corner junkie
That spends all his money on crystal
Up his lungs, up his veins, up the ass
Nothing will ever be degrading enough
When he’s got his dick up some cunt
Three will never be company enough
Cause he’s needy and he wants more
There’s no need for metaphors
Lucy is long dead and buried
I am nobody, just another addict
Just another sad angry lonely soul
Whose life has no real meaning
Other than falling into oblivion
This is the story of the soon-to-be dead
As much as he wants it, he cannot stop
He is dying inside, decaying outside
He works, he wants, he loves, he cries
He long forgot his god-given name
How can you reach for that helping hand
When you keep tripping in the gutter
There’s no need for metaphors
Lucy is long dead and buried
I am nobody, just another addict
Just another sad angry lonely soul
Whose life has no real meaning
Other than falling into oblivion
He won’t call it rock bottom
He won’t call it addiction
But tomorrow he won’t wake up
There’s no need for metaphors
